Security forces killed 17 terrorists in two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Balochistan, while a soldier was martyred during an exchange of fire, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said on Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
ISPR said the two operations were conducted on 1 November 2026 on the reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxies Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij.
In the Sanni area of Kachhi district, security forces thwarted an attempt by terrorists to establish a roadblock, killing 10 terrorists. Weapons and ammunition were recovered, ISPR said.
In Kharan district, security forces busted a terrorist hideout. After an intense exchange of fire, seven terrorists were killed.
Sepoy Hikmatullah, 25, from Karak district, was martyred during the exchange of fire. No unit affiliation is stated for the martyred soldier.
Sanitisation operations were under way to eliminate any other terrorists in the area, ISPR said, adding that the counterterrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam would continue.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the security forces and paid tribute to the martyred soldier.
